FAQ
Why Join DUE2PAY?
A company in Cornwall can engage in a dialogue with someone in Shetland.
In the same way that local business clubs meet and discuss their experiences, DUE2PAY gives you the opportunity to do the same, no matter where you are in the UK.
What is a Watch List?
Members of DUE2PAY will be able to register an interest in other companies which they supply or which they may consider supplying. If a company is listed as a late payer and that company is on your Watchlist, you will receive an email advising you of this. This will happen each time any company is listed as a late payer. You will then be able to contact either the supplier or the customer should you wish.
Why do you ask for more than one contact in a late paying company?
More than one contact is important if you have their details. The main recipient may be on holiday or may have left the company. A fax number in addition to the email address is excellent. You must check email addresses accurately. It would also be appropriate for you to advise your customer that you have registered the debt with DUE2PAY.
How do I contact other suppliers?
The email system is totally confidential. Simply click on a supplier which has listed someone as a late payer and you will be able send a confidential message via the website. You are also free to exchange phone numbers and email adderesses with the supplier at any time. Please remember that there is a strong possibility that you might contact someone in a totally different industry to yours.
We actively encourage companies to exchange contact details.
What types of monies owed can I put on the site?
We only accept details of invoices for which a customer has decided not to pay for reasons unknown to you. (Monies owed should not be in dispute.)
A disputed invoice is one which a customer has queried and refuses to pay all or part of for any reason. For example, they may not happy with the quality of a product you have supplied, delivery being late, consequential loss for whatever reason etc.
You are expressly forbidden to register disputed invoices on DUE2PAY.
If you do, you are liable to legal action from your customer and we will be forced to remove you from the site as a member.
Why do I have to be a Limited Company?
This is the best way to guarantee the integrity of the site and to safeguard you and others who use the site. We ask for Companies House Registration Numbers to validate company names.
Why do you ask for payment by Credit Card?
Along with using the Companies House Registration Number, credit cards are a method of validating the person inputting data into the site.
Why does it take 14 days for a late payment to appear?
To safeguard you and your supplier in the event of a break down in communications. The customer may not have received an invoice due to postal problems, the invoice may be sitting on the wrong desk at a customer.
Whilst we expect suppliers to have made efforts to obtain payment, we recognize the fact that some suppliers may be a little hot headed and rely on DUE2PAY without using traditional methods
Some companies which pay late may have genuinely not received an invoice.
The 14 day delay will allow debts to be settled and consequently will not appear on DUE2PAY.
Can I pay by other means such as Direct Debit or cheque?
No we only take the payment methods offered.
My Company has a bad debt registered against us and this was over a year ago under different ownership?
Please let us know about these instances as soon as possible. We will remove any listings prior to the date of takeover.
We endeavour to remove any listings which are over 1 year old. Changes in company ownership can make meaningful dialogues impossible. Also we will endeavour to remove companies which have ceased trading and no longer active.
I am a Limited Company but do not have an email address or a fax?
The internet is the chosen medium for DUE2PAY, we are unable to process information in any other way.

The email will also contain important details on how to cancel your payment schedule with Worldpay.
Cancelling your Worldpay agreement will also cancel your DUE2PAY membership.

What is WORLDPAY and how safe is an online transaction?
The following text is provided by WORLDPAY
Security is probably one of the most significant concerns for both the shopper and the retailer during an online transaction. In reality, an online transaction is probably more secure than a card transaction in a shop or conducted over the telephone or by fax, as the information transmitted online is strongly encrypted using complicated logarithm combinations.
The WorldPay payment system uses a combination of both established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. Furthermore, our public web servers are certified by Thawte, a public Certificate Authority, ensuring that both the shopper and retailer can have confidence that nobody can impersonate WorldPay to obtain confidential information.
Transaction Encryption
The transfer of the purchase details from the retailers site to Worldpay are encapsulated using our own encrypted and digitally-signed protocol. This uses a combination of standard methods such as PGP, RSA and MD5 to ensure that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof via SSL.
Security for the Shopper
Any communication between the shopper and WorldPay is also encrypted to the maximum strength supported by the shopper's browser using 128 Bit SSL. Shoppers are also protected from fraudulent use of their card in a "card not present" environment, by their card issuers. The card issuers provide the right for shopper to dispute a transaction if the goods/services did not arrive or if the card was used fraudulently.
Data Storage
Data storage on WorldPay systems, and the communication between WorldPay and the worldwide banking networks, is regularly audited by the banking authorities to ensure a secure transaction environment. We also ensure that we stay up-to-date with the latest versions of any third-party code we use, and continually review our own proprietary code.
